Development Executive/Coder

beTravelwise (BTW) has a full-time position for a Coder/ Developer to help the Directors deliver customised elearning and translation projects for their clients. Their primary role is to create (program) and/or customise elearning courses for our clients.

This will be a key appointment as we aim to bring more of the development side of our business in-house, therefore with considerable opportunity for growth.

Job Responsibilities:

To lead the creation (programming) and customisation of elearning courses.

Prepare courses for translation – this is a built-in function within our software.

Review/proof supplier/internal work prior to sharing with clients and implement feedback.

Be prepared to work closely with the development team across all projects, especially for time sensitive tasks.

Key Competencies:

Experience of programming with Vue.

An understanding of coding using HTML, SASS, CSS and Javascript. (The screen shot to the right shows the structure of our course. If this means nothing to you, it probably isn’t the right job.)

Excellent English, accurate proofing of our materials before delivery is essential.

Honesty, we are a small team and whilst we don’t expect you to know how to do everything, we do need you to be honest with us and deliver when you say you will or ask for help at the earliest opportunity.

Other skills:

A basic knowledge of the main Adobe programs: Illustrator, Photoshop and Premier.

An understanding of VBA would be helpful.

Organised, logical thinking. In our experience many problems can be solved by working through other courses and adapting sections.

Accuracy, our clients expect high quality work to be delivered.

We are looking for a candidate with the right aptitude and programming knowledge, as we can provide advanced training if needed. You will be working directly with one of the Directors as part of the development team.

Location

Our office is based at Warren Farm, Savernake (nr Marlborough), Wiltshire SN8 3UU.

Employment Hours

40-hours per week, 9am to 5pm (8 hours per day) Monday to Friday.

Flexible working, both hours and location, will be considered, however we would like an incumbent who is able to come to the office regularly.

Pay

Competitive, based on the experience of the applicant.
